Top Things to See in Seattle

Once upon a time, Seattle was just a dull industrial port city without much to see, but all of this has changed over the years, and it has now transformed into one of the must-visit cities in the United States. As well as being surrounded by some stunning natural scenery, there is plenty to like about the center itself – not to mention its claim on being one of the coffee capitals of the world. So, if you ever find yourself visiting, here are just some of the attractions you have to check out:

Space Needle

Once you have found your Sea Tac airport parking, the first port of call for many people is to head over to the Space Needle and the monorail. While they were originally built for the 1962 World Fair, a lot has been added in the meantime including restaurants, theaters, and sports facilities. You can take a trip to the top of the Needle for some panoramic views, and even take a seat in the rotating restaurant and let the sights of the city come to you.

Pike Place Market

Next up on the list, you have the Pike Place Market, which is where you will find all sorts for sale including fish, fruit, and vegetables. Not only this, but the market itself is a scenic place to spend a couple of hours exploring. If you don’t want to do any cooking yourself, you always have the option of letting someone else take care of this for you. There are more than 80 restaurants and bakeries to choose from! One of them is the very first Starbucks store in the world, so fans of the brand can take a pilgrimage here!

Chihuly Garden and Glass

Everything on display here came from the imagination of the acclaimed glassblower Dale Chihuly. Before you visit, you may be wondering just how expressive glass can be, but there is no doubt that you will be amazed by what you find! Once you have finished looking around inside, head out to the garden to see how the installations coexist beautifully with the natural world around them.

Olympic Sculpture Park

Another outdoor attraction, this one also has the natural advantage of being free to enter. You will see plenty of special sculptures set in a beautiful setting. If you want to continue your artistic journey, you can head over to the nearby Seattle Art Museum.

Woodland Park Zoo

Our final choice on the list is the Woodland Park Zoo, which houses endangered species from all over the globe. You can see everything from elephants and grizzly bears to jaguars and snow leopards. For those who are looking to get even more up close and personal with the animals, you can take part in an animal experience tour around the center.

As you can see, there is a lot to enjoy on a trip to Seattle
